A well-established financial services firm headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles, providing investment management, advisory, and financial planning solutions to a diverse client base is looking for a Senior Accountant. Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting of the firm. This individual will assist in month-end close, oversee account reconciliations, and contribute to process improvements to support continued company growth. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, a keen attention to detail, and experience within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and analyze variances.

  • Support budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Assist with audit coordination and preparation of supporting documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to improve accounting processes.

  • Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).

  • 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within financial services, investment management, or a related industry.

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems preferred.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
